OKRA Landscape Architects / Rethink Athens

OKRA Landscape Architects, in collaboration with Mixst urbanism and Wageningen University, was announced as the winning team of the prestigious competition ReThink Athens towards a new city centre. The project aims to strongly contribute to the change of Athens and improve the environment of the city plus activating the area economically. The video presents the designs of the OKRA team.

After the competition, OKRA, supported by Mixst Urbanisme, WUR, Studio 75, WSGT, Atelier Roland Jeol, LDK and NAMA, has completed further studies, with support of Onassis Foundation, Attiko Metro, the City of Athens, several ministries and Greek universities. The transformation will start in 2014 and will be completed in 2016.
