Period of professional practice

A period of professional experience is compulsory since 1 January 2015. Every graduate who wishes to enter the professional register of garden and landscape architects in the Netherlands must comply with this regulation and must have completed a period of professional experience.

Two-year mentoring

The period of professional experience lasts two years and prepares graduates for full-fledged professional practice. During this period the graduates work in professional practice and receive guidance from experienced designers (mentors). After two years they are eligible to enter the Architects Register.
